A guide on how to play the Provably Fair Coinflip game on Chips.gg

Updated yesterday

What is Coinflip?

Coinflip is a simple prediction game where players bet on whether a group of coins will land on heads or tails. Normally, you could try flipping a single coin, but the game also offers you to flip multiple coins at once, adding a strategic twist to the classic concept.

Before the round begins, players can select how many coins will be flipped and the minimum number of heads or tails required to win. If the result meets or exceeds your chosen condition, you win the round.

How do you play Coinflip?

Playing Coinflip is quick and straightforward:

  1. Choose your bet amount.

  2. Select the number of coins you want to flip (from 1 to 8).

  3. Set the minimum number of heads or tails needed to win.

  4. Choose whether you want to bet on Heads or Tails.

  5. Click Place Bet.

  6. The coins flip and reveal their results.

If the outcome meets your chosen condition, you win and receive the payout multiplier.

What does “Coin Amount” mean?

The Coin Amount determines how many coins will be flipped during the round.

For example:

  • If you choose 5 coins, five coins will flip simultaneously.

  • Each coin can land on either Heads or Tails.

More coins increase the number of possible outcomes and can affect the multiplier.

What does “Min Head/Tail” mean?

The Min Head/Tail setting determines how many coins must land on your chosen side for the bet to win.

For example:

  • If you choose Heads with a minimum of 3, you need at least 3 coins landing on heads to win.

  • If only 2 heads appear, the bet loses.

Increasing the minimum requirement makes the bet harder to win but increases the payout multiplier.

How do you win in Coinflip?

To win, the number of coins landing on your selected side must meet or exceed your minimum requirement.

Example scenario:

  • Coin amount: 6

  • Minimum heads required: 4

  • Your pick: Heads

If 4 or more coins land on heads, you win. If fewer than 4 coins land on heads, the round is lost.

In this picture, I made a bet of 10 TRX and chose HEADS. Below you can see the Win percentage/chance. Sadly, for this round, I lost and it hit TAILS instead.

For this other picture, I went ahead and made the same bet of 10 TRX but chose 3 coins instead and still 1 head/tail outcome. Luckily, 2 Heads appeared giving me the win.

For this last one, I took 8 total coins and a minimum of 4 HEADS to appear. With luck on my side, 5 HEADS appear and got the win of 1.55x

What does the win chance percentage mean?

The win chance percentage shows the probability of your selected outcome occurring.

For example, if the display shows:

96.48% chance – 1.03× multiplier

This means your settings give you a very high chance of winning, but the payout is smaller because the bet is easier to achieve.
