How King of the Hill works

A quick guide on how King of the Hill works.

Updated yesterday

King of the Hill operates as a live competition where players attempt to beat a target multiplier to claim the top position on the leaderboard. The player who holds the top spot when the timer expires wins the entire prize pool.

Target multiplier

Each KOTH event displays an ever changing target multiplier that players must reach or exceed with a qualifying bet.

If a player’s bet beats the target multiplier, they:

  • Take the King of the Hill position

  • Reset the event timer

  • Increase the prize pool

The target multiplier is updated dynamically during the event.

Leaderboard updates

The KOTH leaderboard updates in real time whenever a player takes the top position.

The leaderboard shows:

  • Current King of the Hill

  • Target multiplier

  • Event timer

  • Total prize pool

Each time a new player claims the throne, the leaderboard instantly reflects the change.

Timer reset mechanic

One of the key mechanics in King of the Hill is the timer reset system.

Whenever a player becomes the new King of the Hill:

  • The timer resets

  • The competition continues

  • The prize pool keeps growing

This system prevents early winners and encourages ongoing competition.

Prize pool growth

The prize pool increases throughout the event because every qualifying bet contributes to the pool.

There is no cap on the prize pool size, meaning that longer competitions can result in significantly larger rewards. And believe me, we've seen KOTH events that have reached up to $5000 all the way down from $100 starting prize.
