What is a closest Multiplier Promotion?

Closest multiplier promotion is a race where chips.gg already set a multiplier target such as 100x, and your objective is to hit a multiplier closest to that as much as possible.

You can hit under or over a 100x, in the example below we will show how the rank is calculated for Player1 that hit a 102x and Player2 that hit 95x

  • Player1: 102x - 100x = 2

  • Player2: 100x - 95x = 5

And the leaderboard is sorted based on that calculation from lowest difference between your multiplier and the one set by chips.gg for the race to the highest.

Usually this kind of promotion is allowed on slots only, but other games can participate on too. and your goal is to rank as high as possible on the leaderboard to get the biggest prize. You can break your own closest multiplier achieved or other players, but each player will have 1 position only on the leaderboard.

Duration of a Closest Multiplier Promotion

Depending on the promotion on hand, and the prize value, this race duration can vary between 24 hours to 7 days.

We usually do not put this kind of race less than that since it's not easy to hit the desired multiplier on a slot, based on the luck it can take 5 hours or 5 days to get a decent hit close enough to the random multiplier we have chosen.

Also, long time frames will kill the excitement for this race, since you don't want other players to have a long period of time to try and beat your score.

The duration of a race can be found in the description of the race, and sometimes in the banner of the race it self.

Also you can see when a race will start or end in the sub-title of the race, the date and time shown on site is in your own time zone, every player will see the time in his own time zone. So for example if a race says "Ending Aug 8, 2022 9:00 AM" that means it will end on the 8th of August 9am in your own time. We made this so that it is easier for every player to know when a race ends and starts and not get caught up with time zone differences.

Ranking on the Closest Multiplier Promotion

Once you open a race you will see the top 3 players in the race and their score.

Under that you will see your own progress, where it will show your rank and your total score (closest multiplier achieved) on the race.

Closest Multiplier Promotion prizes

We are always choosing prizes to suit the race, and the variations are the following:

  1. Currency of the prize

  2. Amount of prizes per race

  3. Value of a prize for each rank

Currency of the prize

Races can be paid in any crypto currency, the team reserves the right to change the currency if needed, however the currency in which the prizes are shown on the leaderboard is probably the currency in which the prizes will be paid in.

Amount of prizes per race

Each race is different, some races may have prizes for the 1st place only, some maybe for the top 3, or the top 10, or top 20, it depends on the objective of the race and the length of it.

The longer the race, the bigger the prize.

Value of a prize for each rank

The harder and longer the race, the bigger the prize is.

Long races tend to give other players more chances to catch up to you and compete with you for your rank, for this reason a 48 hours race will have a 500$ prize pool, while a 1 week race will have few thousands prize pool.

Races that shows prizes will have their prizes paid automatically after the race, however if needed for some reason, Chips.gg reserve the right to pay a race prize up to 7 days after the end of the race.
