What is required for a password to be considered strong?

A strong password must contact as least one of the following:

  • Eight characters long, for example:

    • Example1# (This password contain 9 characters, where each letter, number, or character is counter is 1)

  • Upper case letter, for example:

    • Example1# (This password contain one upper case letter, the "E")

  • Number, for example:

    • Example1# (This password contain one number, the "1")

What is a special character?

A special character is a character that is not an alphabetic or numeric character. Exclamation marks and other symbols are examples of special characters. Unlike alphanumeric characters, special characters may have multiple uses.

Example of special characters:

  • @

  • #

  • $

  • %

  • ^

  • &

  • *

  • !

Note:

The example for the password we provided above "Example1#" is just an example for what a strong password might contact, and it should not be used as your own password ever.
