Does Chips.gg credit deposits instantly?
Our system is designed to credit you your deposit instantly after it receives confirmation on the network.
What is a network confirmation?
The way blockchain works is that when you send funds from one place to another, the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain by validators to validate the following:
the transaction is legit
the funds has been moved from sender to receiver
Before confirmation, it is possible for the transaction to be fake, canceled, redirected or simply fail.
Before confirmation the money isn't officially in the address of the receiver.
How many confirmation needed before my deposit is credited?
The way confirmations work is that each transaction will have between 0 to hundreds of confirmation, we use the amount that is considered "safe" after it the transaction can't fail or be canceled anymore.
For bitcoin the confirmations required for your deposit to be credited is 1, before that we can not credit you the deposit.
For other blockchains it may vary between 1 and 5, but it doesn't make a lot of difference to the player since these confirmations are extremely fast and it will take no time for the deposit to be credited.
My transaction is confirmed but I haven't received it?
This might be caused by many things:
Our block scan is behind, so waiting for the node to catch up and scan the block your transaction is in will resolve it.
Our node failed to scan the block your transaction is in, and the deposit failed to be credited.
Your deposit came from smart contract and our system didn't read it.
In any of the cases above or any case where your transaction has a confirmation and isn't credited yet to your account, please contact our support immediately and we will make sure that the deposit is credited asap.
