Depositing on Chips.gg is quick and straightforward when the correct steps are followed. Choosing the right currency and blockchain network is essential to ensure your funds arrive safely. This guide walks you through the deposit process step by step to avoid common mistakes.
How to Make a Deposit
Step 1: Open the Deposit Page
To get started, click the Deposit button on the platform. This will take you to the deposit page, where all supported currencies and networks are listed.
Step 2: Select a Currency
Choose the currency you want to deposit. Only supported currencies will appear on the deposit page.
If you’re unsure which currencies are accepted, refer to the Supported Currencies section for the full list before proceeding.
Step 3: Select the Chain / Network
After selecting your currency, choose the correct blockchain network (chain). Even the same currency can exist on multiple networks, and each network is treated as a separate transaction path.
Example:
Depositing SHIB
Ethereum (ETH/ERC20): Deposits to the Ethereum network.
Binance Smart Chain (BSC/BEP20): Deposits to the Binance Smart Chain network.
⚠️ Important:
The chain selected on Chips.gg must match the chain used by your wallet or exchange. Sending funds on the wrong network can result in permanent loss of funds, which cannot be recovered.
If your wallet or exchange does not allow you to choose a network, it usually supports only one. Always confirm this before sending funds.
NOTE: Depositing funds to a wrong address or chain will lead to the loss of your funds.

Step 4: Use Your Generated Deposit Address
Once the currency and chain are selected, a unique deposit address is generated for your account. You can:
Copy the address and paste it into your exchange or wallet.
Scan the QR code if your wallet supports QR code scanning.
Pro Tip: To ensure accuracy when pasting the address, compare the first and last 5 characters of the copied address with the generated address on Chips.gg.
As you can see in the example above, we have selected to deposit SHIB on the Ethereum network, so I have to be 100% sure that when I withdraw to this address that the sender is sending SHIB on the Ethereum network.
Special Note for Some Currencies
Certain currencies, like XRP, require a Tag along with the deposit address for successful transactions. Always include the provided Tag when depositing these currencies.
