I am depositing SHIB, do I select BSC or ETH ?

An article about depositing or withdrawing of SHIB and selecting the correct chain , Ethereum, ETH, ERC20, Binance Smart Chain, BSC, BEP20

Chips.gg supports SHIB on two chains:

  • Ethereum / ETH / ERC20 (all three names mean the Ethereum network)

  • Binance Smart Chain / BSC / BEP20 (all three names mean the Binance Smart Chain)

Either works. The only rule, for deposits and withdrawals alike: the chain you select on Chips.gg must match the chain the other side uses. Depositing? Match the sending wallet or exchange. Withdrawing? Match the receiving one.

How to tell which chain your wallet or exchange uses

If it shows Ethereum, ETH, or ERC20 anywhere next to SHIB, it is the Ethereum network. If it shows Binance Smart Chain, BSC, or BEP20, it is the Binance Smart Chain.

If it shows nothing, do not guess. Sites that support only one chain often do not label it. Ask their support or research which chain your wallet uses, and only send once you are sure. A mismatch can cost you the funds.
